On Tuesday, 10 November 2020, Apple announced a new chip set that will be used instead of Intel’s on Macintosh desktop and laptop computers. This new chip, the M1, looks to be an advance in power/performance, and should be beneficial to people using Adapt It on the Macintosh.
Adapt It has not yet been tested on computers with this new hardware. We will update this post with our findings when we are able to build/test on these new machines, and provide patch updates for issues encountered if necessary. Until then, please be advised that Adapt It is not officially supported on M1-based Macintoshes yet.
